This package contains all dependencies you need to use both SmartZone ICR and SmartZone OCR.
The SmartZone™ ICR component contains all the necessary objects, methods, and properties it takes for you to perform high accuracy zonal and full page ICR recognition.
SmartZone™ ICR supports 11 languages and 1 region, which includes Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and combined Western European languages.
The SmartZone™ OCR component performs OCR recognition in user defined areas of interest (i.e. zones) or full page. SmartZone™ OCR can be easily integrated with other Accusoft components into a robust forms-processing product.
SmartZone™ OCR supports 73 languages and 4 regions, which includes Afrikaans, Albanian, Azerbaijani (Cyrillic, Latin), Basque, Belarusian, Bosnian (Latin), Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Traditional, Hong Kong Traditional, Simplified), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Faroese, Finnish, French, Frisian, German, Greek, Guarani, Hani, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Kazakh (Cyrillic, Latin), Kirghiz (Cyrillic), Kirundi, Korean, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Luxembourgish, Macedonian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Quechua, Rhaeto Romanic, Romanian, Russian, Rwanda, Serbian (Cyrillic, Latin), Shona, Slovak, Slovenian, Somali, Sorbian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tajik (Cyrillic), Thai, Turkish, Turkmen (Cyrillic, Latin), Ukrainian, Uzbek (Cyrillic, Latin), Vietnamese, Wolof, Xhosa, Zulu, and combined Baltic, Cyrillic, Central European, and Western European languages.
SmartZone also offers specialized runtimes for Asian languages with the Accusoft.SmartZone.Runtime.Asian package which must be installed separately.
Some of SmartZone’s primary features include:
* ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition or Image Character Recognition) of hand-printed characters of supported languages in a zone on an image.
* OCR (Optical Character Recognition) of characters of supported languages, in a zone on an image.
* Ability to specify expected recognition results by specifying:
* a FieldType such as date, time, and many others,
* a regular expression, or
* potential contents in a DataValidationList such as a list of possible account or customer numbers.
* Ability to specify the rejection character when recognition of a character fails.
* Ability to specify the confidence level at which the rejection character is used.
* Ability to report multiple character results and associated confidence values.
* Ability to select the expected language(s) being recognized.
* Ability to select predefined CharacterSets for text recognition.
* Ability to limit character sets for recognition to custom defined subsets of supported characters.
* Support for streaming to allow communication with other Accusoft components including FormFix, FormDirector and ScanFix Xpress components.
