Provides classes that help you trace the execution of your code. Developers should prefer the classes in the ETW-based System.Diagnostics.Tracing package. Commonly Used Types: System.Diagnostics.TraceListener System.Diagnostics.TraceLevel System.Diagnostics.TraceSource System.Diagnostics.TraceEventType System.Diagnostics.DefaultTraceListener System.Diagnostics.Trace When using NuGet 3.x this package requires at least version 3.4.
Provides the System.Diagnostics.StackTrace class, which allows interaction with local and remote processes. Commonly Used Types: System.Diagnostics.StackFrame System.Diagnostics.StackTrace When using NuGet 3.x this package requires at least version 3.4.
Provides trace listeners for directing tracing output to a text writer, such as System.IO.StreamWriter, or a stream, such as a System.IO.FileStream. Commonly Used Types: System.Diagnostics.TextWriterTraceListener System.Diagnostics.DelimitedListTraceListener When using NuGet 3.x this package requires at least version 3.4.
Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) is a powerful logging mechanism built into the Windows OS and is used extensively in Windows. You can also log ETW events yourself code using the System.Diagnostics.Tracing.EventSource class. The TraceEvent library conains the classes needed to control ETW providers (including .NET EventSources) and parse the events they emit. The library includes -- TraceEventSession which can enable ETW providers, -- EtwTraceEventSource which lets you read the stream of ETW events, and -- TraceLog which is is digested form of ETW events which include decoded stack traces associated with the events. See https://github.com/Microsoft/perfview/blob/master/documentation/TraceEvent/TraceEventLibrary.md for more.
Instrumentation library for Datadog APM.
The System.Diagnostics.Trace sink for Serilog.
TraceSource logger provider implementation for Microsoft.Extensions.Logging. This logger logs messages to a trace listener by writing messages with System.Diagnostics.TraceSource.TraceEvent().
Application Insights Trace Listener is a custom TraceListener allowing you to send trace log messages to Application Insights. Application Insights will collect your logs from multiple sources and provide rich powerful search capabilities. Privacy statement: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=512156
.NET Performance Trace Tool
Recommended Google client library to access the Google Cloud Trace API, which sends and retrieves trace data from Google Cloud Trace. Data is generated and available by default for all App Engine applications. Data from other applications can be written to Cloud Trace for display, reporting, and analysis.
Auto-instrumentation assets for Datadog APM
Provides a System.Diagnostics.TraceListener implementation that outputs to Serilog.
Recommended Google client library to access the Google Cloud Trace V2 API, which sends and retrieves trace data from Google Cloud Trace. Data is generated and available by default for all App Engine applications. Data from other applications can be written to Cloud Trace for display, reporting, and analysis.
Annotations to enable additional features of the Datadog APM instrumentation library.
Auto-instrumentation dotnet global tool for Datadog APM
The dotTrace console tool lets you start a profiling session and get performance snapshots from the command line. This can be helpful in various scenarios, like: * profiling an application on a remote server, * automating the process of gathering performance snapshots, for example, as a part of your continuous integration builds, * speeding up profiling routines by creating profiling scripts. The tool supports profiling of .NET Framework, .NET Core, Mono, and Unity applications. The tool is a JetBrains Redistributable Product. This means it is free and can be freely redistributed. Note that it does not require JetBrains dotTrace to be installed on your machine. At the same time, to analyze the collected snapshots, you will need the standalone version of JetBrains dotTrace or JetBrains Rider.
Provides OpenTracing support for Datadog APM
Async-friendly format for stack traces and exceptions (not needed in .NET 6+)
Full information stack trace without deploying PDBs Don't want to deploy PDBs, but still get exception stack traces that map to original source line numbers? Want to have your cake and eat it too? ProductionStackTrace is intended to run in Production, without any access to PDB symbol files. It produces a stack trace with enough information to be analyzed by the techies back on the base with a help of a Symbol Store to get original source code line numbers.
